Where Kids Go to Have Fun!

History

In 1982, Jim and Cheryl Jarrett founded their first gymnastics program inside a covered hay barn in the country near Georgetown, Texas. A year later, Capital Gymnastics was born when we moved to a location off I-35.

As Capital celebrates more than 35 years, now operating three facilities in Austin, we are so happy to be passing along the leadership and traditions to Jim and Cheryl's son and his wife, Jason and Jill Jarrett.

Capital will continue their love for  "sharing the memories, spreading the dream." What wonderful memories we have to share! A lifelong love of gymnastics guides our continuing goal to provide children of the community a program they can be proud of. . . a program that shows love and respect to children. . . a program that teaches positive lifelong habits. . . . a program that helps them become healthy, successful and happy adults.

Capital has ranked among the top ten training programs in the United States and is recognized by USA Gymnastics as a National Team Training Center. We have produced a long list of talented National Team Members over the years and have sent athletes to Germany, Italy, Japan, Holland, Hawaii, China, England, Canada, Puerto Rico, Ireland, South Africa, Sweden, Spain, and Cuba.

This is only part of the memories we share. More than 70 athletes from Capital have earned scholarships to universities across the country. After instructing thousands of young gymnasts, and hosting hundreds of events over the years, our Capital Pride runs deep within our Capital Family. Thanks to our staff, parents, and athletes whose standards are even higher after 35 years.

Whether it's a Parent & Tot class or Olympic-level training, Capital Gymnastics' success is based on the team effort of more than 60 employees working together to provide our clientele the best program in the world.

We welcome you to join us in sharing the memories and spreading the dreams of gymnastics!
